Kid DEES ~~~~~~~ Words of Our Mouth

Psalm 19:14 (paraphrase) The words of my mouth and the things I think about need to be pleasing to God.

The argument many adults try to stand on is the fact that in America we have the right to freedom of speech. A very nice thing to have but it’s something that is often taken advantage of it. We use it for our own selfish gain as we feel it’s “our right” to say whatever we want. God says no. He wants us to watch what we say and think.

Telling your brother or sister you don’t like them or what they are wearing isn’t pleasing to God. It may be freedom of speech but it doesn’t make it the right thing to always do. God says no and so should you. Use your freedom to be positive, constructive and pleasing to God. The power of being thankful goes a lot further. If you don’t control your mouth or thoughts Satan will for you.

Our prayer: Dear Heavenly Father too often our mouth opens up and things come out before we have a chance to stop it. Forgive us for this Lord God. Help us to stop that from happening by controlling what we are thinking so it doesn’t spill out into what we say. The choice is ours, help us to learn ways to control our words so the words we say don’t end up controlling us.

About Me

My photo
I reside in Oregon, with my husband of 32 years. I'm a mother of one and grandmother of six, counting my two newly adopted grandsons. I teach a women’s Bible Study. In June of 2007 God asked me to take with me the things I had learned in my own Christian walk to help those traveling down similar roads. A journey that started with a head injury in Jr. High School and the epilepsy it was to create later for 7 long years. One day I was given the key to my cure. In order to have the surgery to cure the 10% of my seizures that were truly epileptic I was told I had to get rid of first the 90% that were stress caused. For the next five years I took my stress issues to the Lord, leaning and relying on Him and His word as well as catchy sayings of others to see me through. As peace, obedience to God and giving up bad habits replaced worry, stubbornness and disobedience my stress seizures began to disappear. Finally I qualified for the surgery. The end result after 20 years has been being seizure free and pill free all those years. Praise the Lord. God is the cure. I can be contacted at karijo_fluffy@yahoo.com.
