Looking at this fine piece of artwork by Christine it makes for a cute decoration come Easter time. However, no matter how nice or rugged we make the cross look it still carries the same message. NOTICE: “No one comes to the Father except through Jesus.” John 14:6. God required a sacrifice for our sins and Jesus stepped in and fulfilled that requirement because we never could.
No matter how rugged or nice our life appears to be, we all are in need of the salvation God has to offer. Dirtied by the sins we commit only the blood of the cross can cleanse us, all we have to do is apply it. Dressing our lives up with a flower here and there to make it look good won’t do the trick. Repentance drives us to the cross. Obedience carries us through on a journey that beats all journeys. Thanks to God we all have the opportunity to be Heaven bound if we choose the right entrance, Jesus Christ.
