Picture Dees #13 The Traffic LIght

Each traffic light is the same. The rules of the road don't change from one city or state to another. Red means stop, yellow means caution, and green means go. Although drivers don't always respect the purpose behind each color the rule remains the same.

God has his own traffic light signals that He gives us. There's times when we need to stop. Times when we need to slow down. And times when we get the go ahead to go. We'd be smart to obey each one for what they are. As with a real traffic light they are not suggestions on what we could do, they are signals that show us what we should do.

We can sit at the light and grumble about it changing colors or we can sit patiently and wait for the next signal from God. He's there to direct traffic not have to play the part of the traffic cop. However, as with a parent who has to play the role of disciplinary when their kids do something wrong, when needed God quickly takes on the role of the traffic cop.

The tickets we can get from Him can't be paid off, excused, or ignored. Christ already paid the ultimate price making us able to drive the road to Heaven with greater ease on the wheels of forgiveness and grace. Causing trouble at the lights will only get us rear-end by life's issues or t-boned with situations we didn't see coming, or hit head on by Satan and the wreckless driving he promotes.

Avoid the crashes, heed to the signals that God has for us. Self-inflicted accidents NOT allowed.

About Me

My photo
I reside in Oregon, with my husband of 32 years. I'm a mother of one and grandmother of six, counting my two newly adopted grandsons. I teach a women’s Bible Study. In June of 2007 God asked me to take with me the things I had learned in my own Christian walk to help those traveling down similar roads. A journey that started with a head injury in Jr. High School and the epilepsy it was to create later for 7 long years. One day I was given the key to my cure. In order to have the surgery to cure the 10% of my seizures that were truly epileptic I was told I had to get rid of first the 90% that were stress caused. For the next five years I took my stress issues to the Lord, leaning and relying on Him and His word as well as catchy sayings of others to see me through. As peace, obedience to God and giving up bad habits replaced worry, stubbornness and disobedience my stress seizures began to disappear. Finally I qualified for the surgery. The end result after 20 years has been being seizure free and pill free all those years. Praise the Lord. God is the cure. I can be contacted at karijo_fluffy@yahoo.com.
