Kid DEES ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh MY God, my love, my hero

2 Samuel 22:2,3 And he (David) said: “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; the God of my strength in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.
The God of David we read about in the Old Testament of the Bible is the same God we serve and love today. Everything God was to David He is to us today if we allow it by following Him and being obedient to His will. Take a look at the David’s list and the others we find in the Bible and make this list your list as well.

God is MY:

RockHe is solid, something I can build my life upon that won’t move
Fortress---a place where I can dwell
Deliverer---saves me from the potential dangers sin can cause
Strength---He can be counted on to prop me up when I’m weak
Shieldprotection when I need it the most from Satan and his ways
Salvation---my source of eternal life in HeavenStronghold---something I can hold on to that has an iron-grip hold on me
Refuge---a place of safety and rest and shelter
Savior---rescuing me from the things that I need rescued from, mainly Satan and sin
Others we find in the Bible are:
Glorywe don’t need our own glory He is all the glory we needKing---we have a King on our side, someone watching over us
Defense---our defense against the enemy of Satan and the enemy we often can be to ourselvesRedeemer---the one capable of turning our lives aroundHope---something we can look forward to, count on and trust in, our reason to go on
Trustsomeone who is very trustworthy, a person we can rely on and have confidence in

Next time you hear someone use the phrase, “Oh my God,” use your heart to finish their sentence. Borrow the words from David’s list that will come out sounding something like this, “Oh my God, my Rock, my Fortress, my deliverer, my strength, my shield, my salvation, my stronghold, my refuge, my Savior, my glory, my King, my defense, my Redeemer, my hope, my trust, my friend, my love, my hero and the list goes on and on.

He is our God but we need to claim Him as such in our lives not once a week, not only when we want to but on a daily basis. Say it loud, claim it as real, and demonstrate it frequently. We indeed serve and love the same God as David, Praise the Lord.

Psalm 71:22 Also with the lute I will praise You and Your faithfulness, O my God! To You I will sing with the harp, O Holy One of Israel.”

About Me

My photo
I reside in Oregon, with my husband of 32 years. I'm a mother of one and grandmother of six, counting my two newly adopted grandsons. I teach a women’s Bible Study. In June of 2007 God asked me to take with me the things I had learned in my own Christian walk to help those traveling down similar roads. A journey that started with a head injury in Jr. High School and the epilepsy it was to create later for 7 long years. One day I was given the key to my cure. In order to have the surgery to cure the 10% of my seizures that were truly epileptic I was told I had to get rid of first the 90% that were stress caused. For the next five years I took my stress issues to the Lord, leaning and relying on Him and His word as well as catchy sayings of others to see me through. As peace, obedience to God and giving up bad habits replaced worry, stubbornness and disobedience my stress seizures began to disappear. Finally I qualified for the surgery. The end result after 20 years has been being seizure free and pill free all those years. Praise the Lord. God is the cure. I can be contacted at karijo_fluffy@yahoo.com.
